About Your Instructor

Al Olivier

“Originally from South Louisiana, I have been active in the outdoor hobbies/sports all my life. I started Archery hunting and competing in ASA 3D Archery in the mid 80’s. This led to owning my own archery shop, which led to my first experiences with instruction. After an accident and back injury, I took up Handguns shooting in The USPSA until a friend introduced me to this thing called PRS. After looking into it I began to change my .308, to better suite this type of shooting. I was eventually introduced to a group of people that held an into to PRS class. These gentlemen are now household names in the sport. Mr. Brian Allen, Mr. Terry Cross and Mr. Todd Morris. In 2016 I moved to Georgia to work for Masterpiece Arms and became a member of Team MPA. I remained there until 2020 when I decided to start Ascension Development. During my time in the Precision Rifle Community, I have had the pleasure to work with and build relationships with some of the best people and companies in the shooting sports. This has allowed me to test and compete with a wide variety of products.  I am very fortunate to have been able to work with and represent some of these companies to include: Kahles Optics, Armageddon Gear, Kestrel Meters, Crux-Ord, Trigger Tech, Bix N Andy, Masterpiece Arms, Foundation Stocks, Modular Evolution, Thunderbeast Arms, Wildear, Leupold, Curtis Custom, Impact Precision, Krieger barrels. I remain very active in the PRS; however, I do have to say I love sharing this sport and my experiences as much as competing.” – Al Olivier
